Hello all, First off my name is Terry and we have just started a company UTV racing team. We currently have a RZR 4 seater and we are going to pay this Jagged X company 10k to modify it to racing spec. We haven't done it yet but we are still trying to figure some things out. We know nothing about racing UTV except what UTV's are and what some of the racing looks like. Does anyone have any pointers for first timers? Maybe some info on what a team would have to deal with and just any general information would help. Thanks all for reading my post, any info would be greatly appreciated!

Terrance, to be a competitive team you need a purpose built car. So that means you need to first figure out what that cars purpose will be. If you are racing a 4 seater, then it is obviously desert racing and not short course car. Once you decide what series you will be racing, for example BITD, SCORE, HDRA, AVE cal city, VORRA, etc..., then the plan comes together on the outline of the car. A lot of the desert racing groups are going to the same rules, so it should be pretty straight forward. That Jagged X deal at 10k is a good price, and those are good guys.
Thank you all for the replies, i will definitely check out that site and figure out what the purpose will be. I know it will be converted into a two seater though. I guess it depends on the specs the jagged x guys do, cause that will determine what events we could possibly qualify for. Thank you all and i will keep you guys updated
