A lot old mining equipment. We even ran in to some people mining for gold on the ride. They appeared unleaded that we had discovered where they were mining. Oops.
Off to Randsburg! (Many people ride between Dove Springs, Jawbone, Randsburg, Spangler Hills, Ridgecrest and California City...so much riding to be done!)
The area is studded with mines and mining camps. Exploring!
The next day, we ran in to Dana and family! Actually, he rode out and found us, moved his camp and we all went riding! Bill and Gary joined up in the morning and off we went for Nightmare Gulch Round Deux, exploring the El Paso Mountains and a ride to the brewery that brews Mojave Red! Epic ride!
Pictures of this ride up soon, but to wet your appetite...
They use desert spring water for the beer!
Ooooo...beer tasting, don't mind if I do.
Inside the operation. If you look closely, you can see an old whiskey barrel where they age one of their beers. Mmmm...whiskey infused beer!
Angie, thanks again for the invite and great ride Saturday, and for the traditional La Familia burgers and beverages (and brownies)!! You and Jay are great hosts!! I actuallly got lost leaving the campsite, but eventually found the 14 freeway, DUH!!!
