we got ours at auction in Sept 2010 and finally closed Jan 2011. those were the worst months dealing with everything and trying to close. got the house and first thing we did was scrape the popcorn ceilings and it was some work but man it looked so much better right off the bat. re-did the bathrooms and did fancy baseboards and working on the crown molding. the tile in the house was a glossy black with grey grout. at first i was like ??? black?? but not i love it. my wife bought a roomba (the automatic vac thing) which is worth its weight in gold around our place haha! it is coming along. i painted the walls Honda Red. took some plastic from my crf50 down to lowes and after an hour i was happy with the mix. the garage walls that are dry wall are honda red. the bricks are the whitest white they had and the trim is all flat black. the floor we did with that epoxy coat and it is gloss grey. she can choose what the house looks like but my garage is my garage!!! its been a fun project so far and there is always more to do.
