Need one of these, I have a Chinese RLB on the car now and two more spares so I can rob parts just trying to keep it lit up. Can not finish a race without loosing a light or two and this is after we completely rewired it and installed a different flasher module.

Is there issues with using the -B recreational?

Depends where. I wouldn't use it anywhere there is law enforcement lol. I know in glamis they will pull you over, it's just another way they can get you stopped and check for dui, etc. The blue light is what will get you in trouble.

With that being said, the way the wiring works, blue has its own wire and you could put it on a switch and turn it off. That way you could still use the bar with the blue light when you want, and then turn the blue off when you don't want it.

Awesome that's what I was looking for thanks!

What is the amperage draw for the BD rear light bar?

Solid amber = 10w
Brake with flashing/solid amber = 28w
Blue = 19w

So if I know simple math (which is questionable)

Solid Amber = .833A
Brk w/ flashing/solid Amber = 2.33 A
Blue = 1.58A

Hope this is correct and helps lol

@jakecarver91 is correct! The Blue can be switched to turn on and off when desired. You will need to check with local laws and restrictions when running the Blue. Like said above, In many areas it will result in a ticket or at least a traffic stop.
