If a stock 09 teryx and a 06 stock suspended stock caged rotax Rhino were in front of you. Which would you buy? Money doeznt matter in this. The rhintax does have muzzys so we we will say that the teryx does too(prolly will within the first week if I decide to.buy this over the Rhino anyway)

Whats the better power?
Reliability?
Overall trouble freeness?

The Rhino was built right with a clutch for the extra weight and the through shaft upgrade. They used the rtyr mounts and it all looks cleanly done.

This will be used for everything. Work around the house, dunes, rock crawling and just puttin around drinkin beer in.

So which would you buy and why?

thanks, Okie

Well, since you're asking, buy a RZR... I know I'm no help, but if you have money to buy those (oh,oh, I hear them flame engines igniting!!!) then you can afford a RZR.

I can almost guarantee, you won't be disappointed. Then again, if you have a beef with Polaris, they're both pretty equivalent IMHO.

Dan...

I WOULD CHOOSE THE RHINO OF THESE TWO CHOICES, BECAUSE I REALLY LIKE MY RHINO. OURS IS UNDER POWERED BECAUSE IT IS A STOCK 660 THE ROTAX SHOULD HELP
LIKE DAN SAYS IF YOU BUY A NEW SXS, THE RZRs ARE A REALLY GOOD CHOICE.

im kinda partial to the teryx being i have two one a built 08 and a stock 09, both have been very reliable haven't had a single issue 2 to 3 years we have had them, if they are both stock engines they are very comparible power wise even with bolt on performance parts, suspension is very similar, both have good a chassis but over all i would go teryx.

I dont hate popo's but down here everyone has one. My best friends have then and my brother has had two S's and a xp. But I need the bed. Bought a big house with land and ill be using it around the house haulin wood and feed. Ive had a Rhino and liked it other than the power. But I tried to kill it several times and it would just push through and keep on goin. I just dont know how well the stock parts fair with the extra power in!?!?

Well the weak part IMHO was the clutch on the Rhino. Seems that's been taken care of by your post, so Go Rhino!!! You seem to have had luck with it in the past, but again they're both very comparable based on what you wrote.

Both Kawi and Yahmi build a great product. There's very good attention to detail and they do last. Look how many are still around... Might just come down to price and your past history... Good luck!!

If your looking for a good Multi Use vehicle then my choice would be a PoPo Ranger 800 XP. Good power, suspension and a big bed:D
I'm not a big fan of conversions and would rather have reliabilty. Get in, crack open a barley pop, turn the key and go!
Just my 2.375 cents:D

Sounds like you should go with the one that is the best price. Doesn't seem like you really have a preference over the two. They both sound like good cars... My .02

What are you really going to do with the machine?
If you are a duner or a racer, or live in an area where maximum throttle is what you need and want, and you are a guy who can work on the rig himself, and is comfy with all the technical stuff the conversion has, then go for that.

On the other hand, if you are a part time duner, fire trail rider, or spend a lot of time on technical trails, and like to load up a friend or two and just enjoy the day, maybe put 100 miles on the clock, you might want to look at the Teryx.
Know yourself, know what you will really use it for, and make an honest decision that will serve your real needs, not just the need to impress.

With the uses you describe, you really need to nail down where you want it to perform the best. If being the quick dude to the top of the dune matters, then the conversion is obviously the winner...but really think it through.

Theres my problem. I want my cake and eat if with extra icing too! It might be hood deep in mud one week then haullin across the dunes the next week. We really dont plan stuff just whatever pops up that week. If I had won the lotto last week id have a ryx or Rhino and a wildcat. I think im leaning the rotax side. I hate losing and I havent seen or heard any negative on driveability and reliability. And no one around here would have a clue what hit them.

Thanks for all your input!

Rhino with a Rotax is my choice. Those always impress me when I run into one. Early Teryx's had overheating issues as a common failure. Many people add an oil cooler and a larger radiator to fix it. Has it had that done?

No cooling upgrade, but I did find out from my buddy(the original owner who bought it new) that the guy he sold it to locked the motor up so it has a brand new motor with about 10 hours on it.

The Rhino has a 2010 motor in it will a lil over 80 hours I believe.
