Couple of questions- you guys have a plan for fire wood? Maybe a chain saw and a firewood permit? (not sure how a chain saw would work at elevation)
Anyone bringing a two wheeler?

I am bringing my dual sport (CRF230). Nice to have a backup in case the RZR craps out. Maybe do some putting around on it.

It's a great area for the bike Tim, you will have tons of fun! And since you are such an early riser, you can ride into town each morning and bring us back some McDonalds breakfast :D

Will do George...Thanks for posting all this way-good info on Mammoth Lakes...If not for that don't know what we would be doing that week-end:confused:

Trailer is washed, waxed and ready. Just put the last tire on the final bike. All the bikes have been cleaned, lubed, new filters, oil... Waiting for new tires to arrive for the rhino (tomorrow) and then I will go through it- wash, change oil, filters... For some reason the GPS is not receiving from the antennae- ordered a new cable. Either way- I will have everything ready by end of the weekend. (a lot of work after having everything out in the dez since Oct)

Wife had planned to be in AZ until Tuesday of next week but plans have changed- Perhaps we can leave earlier.

Hello All,
Here is another overview map of the area that shows the 395, Owens River Rd, 2S85 and the campsite:) This should help you if you're trying to locate the area on Google Earth or Google Maps and be able to zoom in on the area:) Quick note: If you find the Town of Mammoth Lakes, that is Rt 203. 7 miles to the North of Rt 203 is Owens River Rd that runs off to the East.

Found a link to a list of public showers in Mammoth for those that are interested: http://www.visitmammoth.com/static/index.cfm?contentID=482
There is also one at the Pine Cliff Resort at June Lakes.
The closest one on the Mammoth list is the one at Mammoth Mountain RV Park which is on your left as you enter the town of Mammoth Lakes, right across the Ranger Station.

I will have a 50 gallon drum and electric pump that runs off a trailer plug if anyone needs to refill water- anyone wants to borrow my drum so their buddies can take a shower is welcome to it. I will arrive with it full.

You're AWESOME Chris!!:)
And the rest-stop with free water is only 5 minutes up the road so we can re fill it if we need to:D I'm also gonna bring a couple 6 gallon water jugs we can refill and put in peeps water tanks.
