there is a possibility of me making it..... I'll get home from work at 7am...so if anyone from bakersfield "slacker" wanted to wait an extra minute, so i could carpool, aka, "sleep" both ways of course, it might be possible... we could be at breakfast by 745 ;) maybe earlier if I can get a speed pass from the Ol' ball and chain

IF anyone lives here in Ventura County, and wants to carpool with me, just PM me. I have two open seats.

OK,
The LPNF is offering their last trails that are currently available for adoption (118, 119) to our group. The AAT manager would like to meet us soon. I am planning to meet her this Saturday morning at the Chuchupate ranger station, probably about 9:00am. If any of you can make this meeting, she wants to personally get to know as many of us as possible. Add your name to the below list if you can come up to meet the rangers and keep this ball rolling. Maybe we can meet for breakfast up there too before the meeting. (She also asked if we can help joint trail clean up projects in Ballinger with other clubs)

1. trukndave

Larry, what the hell you drinking? Any way, got some good feedback from the trip, but need to continue with some paperwork and some training. Slacker is gonna try to go back up tomorrow for some more info. Susan Bailey runs the AAT up there, and she will be our contact. The ranger brought up the new helmet law to us and it sounds like they will be enforcing it at some point soon. The new ranger station is nice and people are friendly. Thanks to all who came up today. We found an awesome breakfast spot too!!

WAIT WAIT WAIT !!!!!!

Thats right, mommy gov't has decided that you aren't smart enought to determine when you need a helmet. So now you're goona where one all the time. I feel so much better, thank goodness these people are taking care of my kids for me.

You actually didn't miss anything but a good breakfast. It seems that keeping an obligation fell 2nd to something else, I hope it was important, some guys came from a good distance to attend and gas isn't cheap.

UPDATE:
The AAT coordinator finally called me back and left a message she will be forwarding me the paperwork for AAT up in Frazier for trails 118 and 119. Lets keep our fingers crossed.
Dave
