La Familia rides again Sept 27/28th

Relax, all right? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.

RWDCT staged there earlier this year so it should be ok.

I was there pres. weekend, I was just south of the air strip up a little higher. Where the OP is talking about is at the south end of the air strip, Lots of room to camp, and can get dusty (powder dirt). I will be up deer hunting but might come home early to go rzr'n with the fella's. What places do guys plan on going to. There is several out there, Husky Monument, X15 crash site, pinnacles, train tunnel, federal prison (Boron)????? You can do several in a day. I have most all of them in my GPS.

I'm sure will do Burro Schmidt tunnel, Boron, Husky and will go from there.

For those of you like me... Here is some location info from various sources so hopefully it's close.:)

From intersection of Hwy 58 and Hwy 14 (north of Mojave) go 17.3 miles north on Hwy 14 to turn off (to right) "Redrock Randsburg Rd"

Go 12.1 miles to "Garlock Rd." (stay Left)

Go 4.5 miles to dirt road on the left (turn left)

GPS at dirt road turnoff = N35* 25.3167' W117* 44.1337'

Old airstrip will be 1/4 mile up the dirt road on the Right

Please advise if any of this is inaccurate.

I copied and pasted into Google maps and removed the *s. The location shows like this.

But, it is a dry heat:cool:
Yes I live here in the desert and I have to say when it's hot and dry, it's not as hot when it's hot and muggy. Dry heat is doable. I would never make it in Florida. Too humid and too many dummies running around there. Lol

Tomorrow I will send everyone on the list a PM so they can let me know what there are bringing for Sat.
