The turnoff is just north of jawbone store... randsburg/garlock rd...

Looks like it is going to be in the upper 90s next weekend. Might just need to wait for the ride to find the area. Looks easy on the maps and I have googled earth it way too many times lol

I wish I had known you wanted to play. I was just over at Frazier Park yesterday along with a bud with a 4x4. Weather was great. But since you are coming to my area, consider doing some good trails with me instead of the sand. Or do both, they aren't too far apart.

So where are the trails? I am a noob when it comes to the rzr. I know of mx tracks (zaca) up the coast but not really any trails. Would rather not go to a place where it is 95 in the shade

The trails, known as Rock Front, are 25 miles east of Santa Maria on highway 166. About the same distance for you as the dunes. Generally it doesn't get into the 90s out there and the trails are great for new drivers. You could do a couple hours out there and then head for the dunes if you wish.

For those of you like me... Here is some location info from various sources so hopefully it's close.

From intersection of Hwy 58 and Hwy 14 (north of Mojave) go 17.3 miles north on Hwy 14 to turn off (to right) "Redrock Randsburg Rd"

Go 12.1 miles to "Garlock Rd." (stay Left)

Go 4.5 miles to dirt road on the left (turn left)

GPS at dirt road turnoff = N35* 25.3167' W117* 44.1337'

Old airstrip will be 1/4 mile up the dirt road on the Right


Please advise if any of this is inaccurate.
