LA FAMILIA-MILLER CANYON- LABOR DAY WEEKEND

I like rock crawling! Not rock hopping mind you, but I like rock crawling!:p
Now whether these trails will rank in my top 5 five remains to be seen since I did some awesome stuff in Moab.

No, this is not me but my bud has a pic of me on this same obstacle that looks exactly like this.

Nothing compares to Moab. But there is a lil spot up there that I call mini moab.

Gents, I want to get some more info but I dont want to read 20 pages. Is there going to be anyone riding Friday? What time will the ride be over on Saturday?

Rusty,
Friday is usually a free for all due to folks rolling in at different times. Whoever is there on Fri afternoon usually does a ridge run to the lake and back for a great sunset ride. Saturday's ride is a must do if ya can make it! Usually pull out around 9-9:30 and get back to camp around 4pm or so. I can assure you it will be in yer top 5 of most awesome rides!

George pretty much has it in his post and more info in the first post . The rangers have been know-en to check for spark asters and tags, also they do check for the wilderness pass at the staging area . With that being said I have some extra pass if one needs them for the day or the weekend . Saturdays ride it seems like we have been getting back more like 4:30-5:00 if I remember .

Where is the best place to get a wilderness pass? Do I need to Cary extra fuel too?

Almost done with all my prep. Adjusted my shocks, lubed them, got my race radio in just need to figure out how to mount the antennae, got a new mirror coming too!

Bring 5 to 10 extra gallons. But im sure 5 is more than enough for 2 days

Beds back on. Fluid changes and greasing next. That gives me Thursday after work to get the hauler ready. Yep yep

I have to go to Victorville to get one so ill try to go tommorrow or something. I am not planning on camping and have 30 gallons on the trailer, I was more worried if I need to carry extra with me on the trail.

will bring pork ribs for sun evening appetizer and left overs for those that stay till monday

No need to carry fuel on the trail. If I remember correctly, it's less than 50 miles round trip:D

A full tank a day gets me by just fine and I carry a extra 3 gal. can all ways and Sat & Sundays rides or under 60 miles just to give a idea . We have lunch on the trail also .
