Just rebuilt my 660/686 and now I have a ticking noise. Sounds to be on top end, like maybe one loose valve. Checked valve adjustment 3 times, all ok. Decomp is installed correctly as well as the timing gear. Using a Hotcam with Kibblewhite springs, Ferra +1 stainless valves and Benchmark pins. Also new chains and 700 tensioner.
Is their anyway to check the decomp pin while installed to see if its retracting? It moves fine on the bench.
