Helmet choose?

I've been looking at alot of different helmets, does anyone know where a chart or guide could be found to check the safty of them? I've been looking at hjc,bell,Simpson,and impact. Just trying to compare them to see the saftey over price ext..

Check for the Schnell (sp) rating inside the helmet. Every year the requirements for the rating go up so a later date like 2012 will be safer than 2009. But of course there are more expensive helmets that may or not be safer than cheaper ones so I would suggest you get a named brand like HJC, Bell, Shoei, or Simpson and you cant go wrong! They are all comparable in quality, it's more the configuration you should concentrate on. I wear full face only but you may want an open face. Your choice, your face!
