Getting back into the saddle

STEEEEEEEEKERZ - UTVUnderground Approved
Well its been a busy couple days. I am now starting over with a new XP. I knew there were some things I wanted to change on it right away and there are still some big ticket items (Cage/doors/new shocks) I will be changing by Halloween, but for summer they can wait as I will probably only use the RZR a few times at Miller Canyon as its too hot here in Cali. I started out with some basic items for creature comfort since I don't know what I will do for storage in the bed (box, Rotopax, etc.) so I thru in a bag between the seats and a map bag with Seizmic dome light and Pro Armor top. I will be selling all this around Halloween btw. I installed the Factory UTV trailing arm guards, a-arm guards (cut them down on the front side as I thought they were too big) and their rock sliders. I then added in a Blue Sea 12 position fuse block and 5 20amp. toggles from UTV Inc to control my Rigid Duallys, Rigid 10" bar, dust light, whip. I like these simple no bling toggles as they have never let me down from dirt, water, dust etc. I also noticed the gap between the trailing arm guards and tire was all but gone after the guards were installed and the XP rubs stock right off the dealer floor anyways. So I put on a set of 30mm rear spacers and topped it off with new Duro Power Grip tires which I am a huge fan of in the 6 ply 12". Before anyone grills me, I do have my 3" CROW 5 point harnesses from my last RZR, I just ran out of energy and will put them in next weekend... I finished the day off by removing all the decals.

Those are Duro Power Grips... 6 ply radials..Myself and several friends have logged many hard desert miles on them and they are awesome and a bargain..under $100 a tire from Rocky Mountain ATV with free shipping and no tax...love them.

looks great. why two switches for the duallys?

so whats the seat of the pants feel from the S to the XP?

I always run separate switches for each light... started doing it on my old Rhino with HIDs because of the initial high amp draw they had at start up...kept them from flickering. Its also nice when I need to help work on another SXS at night I can just turn on a single light to save the battery. I don't like using relays, so I run 20 amp switches with over rated wiring. With the new LEDs its really not an issue as they draw about 2 amps each. I haven't even driven this thing yet so I dunno the difference. Just pulled it in and out of the trailer is all. I am heading to Calico this next weekend for the first trip out.

I will get this RZR setup as I did my last one but after insurance screwed me I need to take it one step at a time.

Jason!!! Quit bitching dude!!!! Remember, your insurance company didn't roll it!!!

Now you have a freakin XP!!! Wanna trade? Man some people would bitch if they were hung with a new rope!!! JK...:D

Oh yeah, BTW, sweet ride!!! You bringing it to Miller next weekend?

Gonna have to do a Deep Creek ride some day soon too... We can go up via Juniper Flats and I found some really cool blue and a black diamond on the other side of Horseshoe Springs Campground to White Mountain. It was an awesome ride....

Dan .....

You're 100% correct Dan...heading to Calico next weekend... Gonna go try to play follow the leader with some Jeep friends.

Congrats on the XP Jason.Your not going to miss the S. Just watch the lines in the rocks so you don't get the trailing arms hung up.
