Does anybody know anything about this Helmet? (450girl?)

I actually saw this on Corry Weller's site...(450girl) so Corry can you fill me in or anybody else?

I raced the Parker 250 a couple of weeks ago and the morning sun was terrible... I'm a Motorcycle guy and loved having a visor...so seems the best of both worlds... full faced with a visor...I know its a HJC but couldn't find anything else...love to have one especially if it can be had with a forced air vent..

I have been wondering the same thing. I have that same Simpson blown wired helmet but I want to get one of those visors also.

I could be wrong, but it looks like a HJC AR-10 with a moto visor bolded on. I know a lot of short course guys are doing this. I simply run a piece of tap across the top of my shield and pretty much get the same effect.

I think your right...looks like it screwed on... I just found one of these out in the garage that's been sitting in a box forever...

this might do the trick...you can still raise your visor...as it attached to the top of the visor..maybe I'll attach and send a pic on my helmet..looks dorky but it may work..

I too have used a couple strips of electrical tap on the top of the visor as well for years..have tried the see through strip that attach via static...but you need to put a couple pieces of electrical tap on each end to make sure they dont blow off..

If you look close, the visor is screwed to the flipup faceshield, so that the visor lifts with the faceshield.. It has a velcro holddown to keep the faceshield closed when wind gets under the visor.
Pretty simple yet pretty smart...
Just go to your local mx shop and get a visor that will match close enough to your faceshield and then drill small holes and bolt it on.

If this is an AR-10, then it is a SNELL SA 2005 rated helmet that has a automotive racing rated shield that won't blow open even with out velcro. It has a pin on the helmet that fits into a hole in the visor. You have to slightly bend the shield up and over the pin to open the shield. It is part of the SA certification. I have never had an issue with my shield opening, particularly with a helmet skirt. But the visor (duck bill) might create so much lift that it bends the shield and pops the shield open.

Exactly, I'm like ignore amos, I have spent years on mx and desert bikes and like my visors ot keep sun out. May have to look at doing this mod to my new helmet when I'm running an air system. Otherwise, I'll continue to use my mx helmet.

the viser/shield help to deflect debris coming from the roost of cars in front of you saves tear offs and keep sun out of eyes:)

Sorry, wasn't me. But maybe I'll see you down there in the next year or so. I might make a run with a class 18 car this or next year down there.
