Direction of travel on off road tracks?

This may seem like an odd question, but I'm looking for input from other off road riders as to general "rules of the road":

When riding on in an area marked as a 4x4 track (for instance, at an OHV park) do you subscribe to the idea that the direction of travel should generally be uphill (making step ups and what not reasonable obstacles) or is this not a commonly accepted theory?

Input? (And thank you in advance :)

Not exactly sure what you are asking? If you are on a marked race course then for sure go the direction that is intended. If you are referring to an open OHV riding area that you find a jump or step up on. Then a good idea would be to have a look out making sure the path is clear before you hit the jump. Always a good idea to be cautious on open OHV trails because traffic flows both ways. Not sure if this answers your question.

At an OHV park unless it is marked one way you can go what ever way you want. Just stay on the trails.
