well i overlooked a minor detail with my alternator adapters. i need to make the adapting bolt left hand threads.
the shaft backed out and cracked the case cover. which let the lower cam sproket spin on the crank shaft and the timming went all to crap. luckily i shut down the motor quick as soon as i noticed it.
i bent 3 intake and 4 exhaust valves. they lightly hit the pistons. easy fix but will have to wait for parts so my Halloween trip to Glamis is cancelled. oh well live and learn.
