bakersfield sand drag

We are putting on a 300' sand drag event at the Bakersfield Sportsman show on Feb 25-27. The show is located at the Kern County Fairgrounds. Directions & Parking - Show Details - Central Valley Boat, Sportsmen, & RV Outdoor Living Show
The sand drag event will be held in the dirt parking lot off of Belle Terrace, between P Street and Union Ave.

There will be utv and atv drag racing.
Friday is test and tune from 10am to 7pm
Saturday will be test and tune from 8am to 10am
the kids class will start at 10am
Sport 1 & 2 Bracket classes will start after that. Followed by utv and index racing, in no particular order.
Sunday test and tune from 8am to 10am then there will be a pro 1 & 2 bracket class and sport 1 & 2 bracket class. Utv class if time alots.

Daily entry is $5
Overnight parking for trailer/motorhome $10
Test and tune is $15
Pro classes are $50 70% payback 70/30 split

We will run t&t Friday, $15, Saturday will be sport 1&2 bracket, utv bracket-$35 trophy class, pro index $50 70% payback. we might have to move the kids class to Sunday not sure yet. Sunday will be sport 1&2, utv bracket $35 trophy class & pro 1&2 bracket $50 70% payback. We will run t&t Saturday & Sunday from 8-10. Camping will be $10 per night Friday & Saturday night, no charge for Thursday night. There will be a $5 per day pit pass as well. camping is for the rv only if you bring your 5th wheel and five cars you will only pay $10 for the rv. There is no fee for parking just camping and pit pass.

I will be a spectator only....I went to the ones last year...maybe year before and its not actually a sand drag...more of a graded dirt drag. There were some banshees that were definatly worth watching.

YES MOST OF SAND DRAG TRACKS ARE DIRT WITH A LITTLE SAND. JIM YOU NEED TO BRING YOUR RI ,DONNY WILL BE THEIR AND WES WILL HAVE HIS WEBER
