Baja 500 stats "just sayin"

It was nice meeting your chase guys Cory as we sat together for quite a few hours at the road crossing at about mile 200. I hope the last of my ice helped as the Tecate's were warm by the time we got back to Ensanada! but hey we do what we can to help each other, right?!

The fiasco at the summit effected those of us who started towards the back severely. We sat at the bottom for about 2 hours before we had a chance to get over. With the snail pace of the Rhino we only have a few hours total to spare before timing out, so that really hurt. With a broken belt in the middle of Borego it was looking bad... We made it into the road crossing right about the same time as you Cory, but unfortunately shortly after leaving the pit we had a wheel bearing failure and that was it...

I for one totally appreciate the time and effort it takes to get good coverage of a major event without major backing like SPEED gets.. Joey and the crew did a magnificent job and when you consider Joey took the time to do ROTR just a couple of weeks before Baja, you can only imagine how dedicated he must be. Just by chance I met Joey at ROTR but he didn't have much time to chat , but I understood he had a full plate so didn't pester him! But he provided some good coverage of ROTR and definitely keeps me tuning in to the Underground for good UTV info.
And many thanks to Joey for allowing my friends at La Familia to have their own section here and support the great folks they are!
Good job Joey!

I saw your chase help request last week and had I not already been committed to AGM, I would have jumped all over help you guys out. Congrats on the finish! The course was brutal and just over 50% finished.

The summit always has a bottleneck, it sucks cause you have no control over it.

I'll see how available I'll be for the 1000 in Nov. If the AGM chase plan allows, I'd be more that willing to help any/all UTV teams racing :D

hi cory. it's reid johnson. i met you at the baja conting. we ran the monster mav. congrats on your finish AND cockiness. you've earned that right. if i can offer any advice or information to you guys, just ask. you racin the hdra reno 500? the bitd vegas to reno? i'd like to hear how the stock components faired. we busted over 2000 hours building and adressing all areas we could think of, and you studs just show and give us an ass whooping! awesome!

Hi Corey,

I just want to say thanks for sending our Help! message on a towel out. Our crew got the message. Anything you guys need help with at the 1000 just let me know. Were in a 5 car and should have quite a few chase vehicles on hand.

It made for one hilarious story in the morning.

Thanks again,

Jeremy
