So, this one is my personal build, but is being done at the Rugged shop with some help from the boss etc :D

We started off with our play 4 seater 660, then the race 700 and thats great, but its not... FAST. I like to go fast... I ride streetbikes, 1/4 mile dragrace in my truck, have way too many speeding tickets.... :aargh4: - I like to go FAST!

So this will be an R1 rhino build on the cheap.... as cheap as I can.

Picked up a new (well, supposedly new, advertised as new, but definitely not new :aargh4: ) 2009 Rhino 700 frame from a member on this board 3 weeks ago, and it FINALLY got delivered on Wednesday.

Since we had a ton of stock parts from our racer rhino, Ive started throwing parts at it to get it to a rolling chassis to move around the shop for now. Who knows, it may look like a clapped out stock rhino with a nice baby purring under the engine cover depending on funds :D

Still need to throw the rear suspension, steering rack, dash and a few other things on, but this is how it sits for now.

I got a 2005 Yamaha R1 motor with 700 miles on it on a truck which will be here Monday. Came with motor, harness, header, radiator, etc etc - basically everything needed but a gauge cluster. Thats on its way from eBay.

I have Graves Velocity stacks, a new race air filter, a DynoJet power commander and a cam sitting here for the motor when it comes in.

Since this is going to be 99.9% a duner rhino only, Im not going to go with a FNR box. Im going to be using the Yoshi rear bearing carrier, with 930 CVs. He will be custom making the axles for me.

Im going to be using the MetalTech Products rear arms that utilize the stock a arm locations and an 18" coilover in the rear. Front is undecided so far, but I really like the Magnum LT we have on our race and play rhinos.

More than likely I will be using the stock dash style, with one of our Rhino plates with an RRP600 intercom and Vertex VX2200 50 watt two way radio installed. The intercom will have the DSP (Digital Speech Processing) chip installed to cut down on any possible exhaust noise.

Baja Designs lighting will help lead the way at night. Going to have white plastics and our local cage builder who is doing our race rhino to do a simple 2 seat chromoly cage. Im thinking 27-28" smoothies up front and 12 paddles in the rear.

Anyways, just wanted to get this thread going, Ill update it frequently as Im trying to have it ready for July 4th at Pismo!

Motor pictures on Monday.....
