Urge the Consumer Product Safety Commission to Extend Testing Stay for Youth-Model ATVs for another Year
On Dec. 1, 2010, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) voted 3-1-1to extend, by 60 days, the date by which manufacturers of youth-model all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) must begin using accredited third-party laboratories to certify that ATVs meet the safety standards of section 232 of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) of 2008. The deadline was Nov. 26.
