Check out the great 5 minutes with Black Rhino's Kenny Osborn-

By Andrea Pathiakis

With the Southern California Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series 2012 season fast approaching, what better way to spread some excitement than to introduce the amazing sponsors that have signed up to support the racers and regional series. This will be one of many “5 Minutes With†interviews to give you guys, the fans, a personal inside story on the main men that not only race in the off road industry but take the time to give back to it as well.

I would like to introduce Kenny Osborn of Black Rhino Performance in El Cajon, California. Kenny spent his early years in the off road industry working with a class 7 team as they raced in the Southwest deserts. A family man as well, Kenny got his two twin boys Brian and Alex racing Trophy Karts in the former Championship Off Road Racing series. Soon after, Kenny acquired Black Rhino Performance and has since then hit the off road scene with some of the sickest aftermarket parts for UTVs along with showing up to support his sponsored racers in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series and Lucas Oil Off Road Regional Series.

The Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series – Southern California is proud to announce that Black Rhino Performance will be sponsoring the UTV class in the 2012 season along with pit support at every event. In a quick “5 Minutes With†interview, Kenny had some of the most inspiring thoughts on a sponsor’s involvement in the short course world.

LORORS: First off, tell me a little bit about Black Rhino Performance. How did you guys get started in short course?

KO: Black Rhino was the first aftermarket UTV company specializing in performance parts. After my purchase of the company, we’ve taken it to another level. Prepping and building race cars is my way of giving back to the industry and that’s also how we got into racing and sponsorships. Black Rhino is the vehicle to give back and sponsor other drivers. It generates enough revenue to help the racers at the racetrack. Somebody needs to step up to the plate and give back to the customers and the racers.

LORORS:I see Black Rhino has been giving back by sponsoring the UTV Classes in the regional series, among other things.

KO: I want to set an example for the industry and for all the aftermarket companies. My belief is to take a percent of my revenue and put it back into the series.

Make sure you guy's come out to the Regional Series at Glen Helen this weekend and hang with the Black Rhino crew. We should have a great turn out of UTV's and other race cars.

And Again Thanks Kenny Osborn / Black Rhino Performance for your awesome support!!
