Josh, Great riding with you and everyone else this last weekend, Nice pics too. I am stoked your dad won the exhaust, that worked out great. Great turn out, I have always wanted to step up and make one of these rides and help contribute to one of these rides. When Kenny Osborn gave the opportunity to go and get the chance to participate, we were all over it. It was a pleasure to meet the Rosas family and help out with the La Familia family, We cant say enough of how much every one made us feel welcome. I wish we could of done more. Next year we will come out and stay the weekend, It was a great turn out. We have already had one of the $250 maintenance packages come in with his car for service, Woooooot. I think we counted over 30 UTVs here
Ronnie,
Thank you again for asking Black Rhino to be a part of it. Sorry I could not personally make it there this year, but a big thanks to everyone for making Steven, Layton, Bryan and Lauren feel so welcome.
We are already in the idea phase for next year to help raise more money for the 5th annual Rober W. Rosas Jr. Memorial Ride.
There were so many great prizes, this guy set the mark for having 6 winning tickets. Chad was a great sport, he won a Flow master exhaust and a person made the comment that he needed one, Chad stood up and said, here ya go lucky winner and handed it to him. needless to say he was a happy camper. Nice
O Hey Ronnie, looks like your computer is working again. Maybe it likes the night shift more that the day one. haha
Along the line of thinking out loud, when I had a meeting with Steven this morning we came up with a couple we would like some feed back on.
We were thinking about the idea of an auction for the higher dollar items. Maybe donations with a retail value of $500 or more could be put on display with a sign in bidders sheet.
The other idea was to raise money through out the year and set a goal for the Rosas family of something like; 5th annual = $5,000 cash. 6th annual = $6,000 cash, etc.
We would like to stay involved and get the thoughts and ideas from others for you.
Steven,
Chad was more than a great sport, he was gracious and giving. I was the recipient of the muffler, and can't thank Chad enough!!! I mentioned to him I had eyed it the night before when we were getting everything ready and that his winning ticket was one number from mine. My son Chris thought we won it at first. When I mentioned this to Chad he said, here ya go man! I was in disbelief, and said thanks but no you keep it, but he insisted. I can't thank him enough as I just laid out $600 for new tires and was wondering how I was going to put a Hushpower on the RZR-S.
This keeps my faith alive in humanity, there's still tons of great peeps out there, and with this kind of giving and sharing, it makes the tough parts of life seem like little bumps in the road.
Thanks again for BlackRhino's stepping up to the plate, and thank you Chad for your generosity!!!
I'd also like to shout out to Jason at Muffler World in El Centro who was the one that donated the muffler. It's proprietors like Jason who make these charity events the great thing they are with their awesome donations. Thanks Jason!
Dan...
That's how Chad rolls. He did much the same at the last Teryx group ride in Glamis.
Absolutley... Chad hooks it up! Also I forgot to mention that dave (desertteryx?) gave my brother the $250 service at black rhino that he won. My brother didn't waste time... he dropped it off at black rhino right away! Thanks guys!
