XPT High flow cooling fan kit

Polaris just released a high flow cooling fan kit for the XPT.

We have not tested it yet but it is a brushless motor designed to increase air flow and help prevent engine overheat shut down. Kits are $300 retail and there is some possibility of warranty for stock RZRs in specific situations (need to take RZR to local dealer for Digital Wrench diagnosis). For race units likely no chance of warranty but will will sell kit for cost plus 10% = $264 to help keep RZRs finishing races.

PS - watch for info coming soon on special pricing on OEM parts we are planning to bring to next BITD race May 7-8 in Laughlin. You will want to consider stocking your shelves!!

Hey Matt do you know the difference in amps that this fan pulls compared to the previous model?

I assumed that question was coming...

I do not. Have not even seen one yet but I have a few on order and plan to test draw before and after. I will report here with results.

Fan kits arrived this week. Tested current draw today.
- Stock fan spikes to 20A when turning on initially and stabilizes at 13.5A when running.
- New kit fan is brushless so it does not see the initial spike and stabilizes at 14.5A when running.

While the new fan kit definitely moves more air in a static test I am not experienced enough in the current draw department to speak to the pro/con of the 20A spike on the stock fan vs. the 1A added draw during operation.

Anyone care to chime in with experience on the subject?

We have one fan kit available to purchase now and more on order...
