First time was too fast. So we made adjustments based on that speed from the first attempt. Moved the gap out further but then built up the landing. Then he came in too slow. 2 miles an hour faster and he would have nailed it..

Everything he is doing in these videos is gnarly. This was the craziest crashes in all of what we have filmed. RJ is a beast. BALLS OF STEEL. That step down is MEGA!!!

Joey, On the first attempt it looks as if the front suspension collapsed. What failed and overall what was the damage? Was it just replacing bolt on parts, or did the chassis sustain damage too?

I'm guessing the shocks hydro locked causing the shafts to bend and bending the arms?

Then on the second attempt, what was damaged and was it major fabrication to get it back & running?

Both crashes sustained substantial damage to the machine.

First crash, RJ landed so hard he smashed his feet through the floorboard, snapped all 4 shocks, broke front a-arms and axles. NO FRAME DAMAGE. All front plastics replaced.

Second crash, folded all the front suspension components, damaged front diff, crushed front bulk head, destroyed radiator and all front plastics needed to be replaced. No major structural damage from the front firewall back.

After both crashes we replaced what was broken and went about our way. The car shows zero signs of ever being wrecked. Even when the front bulkhead was damaged, we just unbolted it and put a new front bulkhead on. Simple as that.

RJ suffered minor back and neck injuries on each crash. Nothing major, more or less whip lash and other normal back / neck related pain when one is involved in a car accident. We were all lucky and glad that he was ok. We can always fix the RZRs.

This is what the front looked like after the first landing:

Yeah on the second crash the front end acted like a crumple zone on a car. It took a lot of the blow. Of course we have a bolted in race seat, harnesses and RJ was wearing a Hans as well.

Thanks for the info. First I'm amazed RJ did not snap his ankles or worse when his feet broke though the floor. That is insane!

Second I'm impressed considering all the damage between both crashes, that the main structure was straight.

Please capitalize HANS.Lol.

Wow feet through the floor. That's the first time I've heard of that happening. He folded that thing up like a lawn chair! That jump down looks scary as f***!

Here is what it looked like after jump 2... ouch.. I have a ton of photos burried from my phone that I thought would never see the light of day.. this one was taken by our boy DJ who worked as RJs personal mechanic on the shoot..
