trip to nor-Cal soon, anything recomended to see

Flying in to LA dropping my daughter off st summer camp in San Luis obispo then driving up the coast. Nothing really planned, want to see the coast, redwoods maybe drive to Oregon.

Anything out there that I have to see?

take state hwy 1 and go up the coast it's very scenic

A trip up the 1 is a beautiful drive. If you have the time, Pismo is a pretty cool little town and while your at it go drive down on the beach at sunset.

Bingo, you won't regret it. I've been lucky enough to live right by there for 2 years now. Never gets old.

Take the drive up highway 1 into Monterey. It is one of the best drives in California. Depedending on your time frame I would stop at the Hurst Castle. You will need to make reservation to take a tour. It is well worth it.

The drive up highway 1 will take you through Big Sur and other cool places. The drive along the coast is awesome. Once in Monterey you can check out the aquaruim and if you are a golfer take the 17 mile drive into Pebble Beach.

our plan is to drive the PCH all the way to Crescent sity, stay one night and then drive to Coos Bay and back I5 to SLO through redding and Sacremento.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium is worth stopping in to see...Cannery Row is a good spot to grab a bite to eat and stay over for the night.
