Why not put 4 wheels on it? It would look way better at least. Those 3 wheel karts been running around SF here for years I always thought they look goofy.

There are a lot of reasons why 3 wheels but for a manufacturer its easier to manufacturer a 2 or 3 wheel because its treated as a motorcycle vs. a car which has all sorts of BS tied to it to get it developed and manufactured such as crash tests and much more.

Ah I knew there had to be a reason. If some made a kit to put a 2 wheel rear axle that would be cool.

And on July 28th the Long Travel kits, lift kits, massive rear AT tire kit, cage kits all get released...

I heard or read somewhere that an M1 license is not needed to legally drive the Can-am Spyder. Class C is what I heard at least.

Was taking to a friend about the new Slingshot. He said the slingshot is a front engine and was designed to use a GM 2.0 Ecotec engine and manual gearbox.

I get the front engine platform, but a Ecotec engine? I don't know, I would think Polaris would use a engine from the Victory motorcycle line up.

You do need a motorcycle license to ride a Spyder in California. And you also need to wear a helmet. Not sure about all states though. I Quebec you don't need a motorcycle license or need to speak English for that matter (haha).

An M1 license is NOT required in CA for a 3 wheeled motorcycle, 5th line down.....http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/dl655/mcycle_htm/requirements.htm

This is an interesting concept, but I can't say I would be interested though..
