Team Bradco battles the heat in Havasu
WORCS RACING ROUND 4 2015
The Fourth round of the WORCS series did not disappoint, Havasu is known for being very rough and has the famous Lagoon Jump. Team Bradco entered the WORCS Havasu refreshed after a few weeks off of racing and were eager to get back to it. Unclassified practice went very good for both Corbin and Cody and the stage was set for both drivers to have a good showing in Saturdays race.
Corbin would race first, being top 10 in points would allow Corbin to start in the front row with all his main competitors. He jumped out to a 4th place start and quickly worked his way into to second, he would then keep it very close between Walker Even’s Randy Anderson for the next few laps until he was eventually able to make a pass for the lead stick. Shortly thereafter he would loose both rear axles making his car front wheel drive, Corbin drove two more laps trying to gain valuable points only to break a front axle putting him out of the race. Corbin has been driving the wheels off his RZR all year. With a sliver of luck we will see young racer win a few this season.
Cody would be starting from the second row where he would jump out to a 2nd place start; he then made a pass and set his sights on the first row. With the track being so brutal he knew he would need to save his equipment for the end of the race when he would need push his car to the limit for the best possible result. He began catching drivers in the front row working his way up to 4th overall on the track. On corrected time Cody was battling for the lead and he was able to take over the lead a few times before disaster struck on the final lap. Cody would have a small mechanical problem that he needed to fix before he could get back going. After all was said and done Cody would work his way back up to an 8th place finish.
