Hello all,

I am new to this forum and for good reason too, my dad and I have been debating a SxS or a buggy for a while now. Finally figured out we can have about $10,000 or more put away by the end of the year hopefully...

My question is(I'm sorry if its been covered, or too broad, just need your guys input) what would be your guys suggestion to buy? Were looking at something used, 2 seater, with LT and some mild engine mods...

How does a custom Rhino compare to a stock Rzr XP? We go to the dezert on a monthly basis... Cal City... and want something to rip around in. We want to be able to slide it without too much worry of rolling. Our friends have a Rzr S and its hard to slide without worrying about tipping..

Thanks guys, any past experience and input is appreciated and point me in the right direction if this has been covered and what not. Only want to buy one, once... instead of regretting it later :)

IMO Get the XP! Comparing an XP and a Rhino is not even possible:eek: The amount of money you would have to put into a Rhino to get it remotely close to the performance of an XP would exceed the price of the XP. Buy something that is purpose built for what you want to do from the factory. That way you also gain reliabilty. Also look at the new Arctic Cat Wildcat, it and the XP are about as bad azz as you can get for something off the showroom floor. Again just my 2.375 cents:D

Take a look at the RZR4 800 you can get a good price for one right now that the XP 4 seater is out. The RZR 4 converts well to a 2 seater and kicks ass on other out of the box cars.... Good Luck!

IMO. If you have 10 grand saved up, save 5 more and you can get a great deal right now on a Baja bug that has lots of upgrades you can get built bugs right now that use to go for 25 grand with lots of upgrades for 12 - 15 grand and its street legal.

The reason why I think you should go that route is if you do most of your riding in California city it gets cold and there is a lot of fast whooped out roads that you can rip up in a long travel baja bug and stay WARM. And right now you can get a lot more bang for your buck in that department. But if you are going to do more diverse riding in different areas such as Dunning, trail riding in the mountains,or some small rock crawling then go with a SXS that suites your needs and your family. What ever route you go its all fun and cant get enough of. have fun and be safe.:D
