Handling is a subjective matter of opinion, as soon as it is not there won't be any need for other manufacturers/fabricators for they will have cornered the market. I find the heated battle between OEM’s like Popo, Articat, and aftermarket fabricator’s to be interesting! There is nothing subjective or debatable about the fact that a light centered (laterally, longitudinally, & vertically) CG, where the rider(s) sits close to it, will produce better handling, less rider fatigue, better shock dampening from all four shocks. While both spec out at 13” GC and close shock travel, I like how Cat claims superiority over Popo by “placing the rider closer to the low CG”, as well as the “the mid-chassis motor”. What's interesting is the Cat has 9” more wheel base and 110 lbs more dry weight, how misleading!
Bottom line is as far as the rider a Popo CG that is a little further aft/and/or up over a shorter wheel base, and has less weight for shocks to react, can produce the same or close results to the Cat. As far as the car is concerned, if Cats CG is in fact centered over a wider wheel base with more weight it can produce just as much fatigue as PoPo’s. Interesting what fabricator's have to work with, ehhhh!
Only way to capture all this initially and REALLY know what you are doing as proven by many markets over decades, is by a full DMU (Digital Mock Up) computer model design like the OEM's, lots of testing that can mass produce at low cost. Everyone else is doing the best they can with what they have to work with.
This cars CG does look low kudos’s for that it will help the added 110lbs weight from stock, since it looks like you are a little rear and high to the rider. Shock valveing can help dampen that out, and I’m sure your beefy looking chassis and arms can take the added fatigue.
I’d personally like my 900XP 110lbs lighter with a more fwd center CG, but that is wish full thinking these days.
Beautiful looking car BTW.
