Yeah... this race is a very long drag race and its all about starting position.. you run a clean race with a up front start and chances are good for a podium...Murrays will be fast too.. that new long WB Max should haul ass..they just need a clean race too- Kiger with haul butt from the back. We hope to finish strong.. we led this race through mile 150 a couple of years ago.. hope to do that and have a strong second 150 as well. Loads of fast guys in this one...it'll be good racing!

Yes and no. Brandon is spotting a lot of guys 125cc of engine displacement as he is driving his old 900 (actually 875cc). He will be the first to encounter the slow quads and bikes and typically they don't pay much attention until a few Utes get by...and obviously you can't give them any bumper love. But you are right that the dust toward back of the pack is going to be blinding. Should be interesting to watch. Good luck to everyone.

The drawing for starting positions takes place a couple of weeks before the race. It helps get registrations in earlier. But you are right, you can register right up until the day before the race, but you are going to start behind everyone.

We ran a great pace last year up until mm258ish. I can attest to the slow quads personally as we ended up in a ditch about mm90 last year after trying to get pass one. Luckily we had built enough time for me to get out of the car and do the Cupid shuffle to get the car back on the course and still be physically in the lead. That front spot helps !

I am not so sure that 125 CC's means much. I'd take our 900 motor over a 1000 ALL day long, but....Unless something catastrophic happens the 1K it is.

The 900 as of right now is the platform to beat!

About the only thing ready is the car..I have the flu..hoping the antibiotics kick in fast..my co-driver is going to have to drive straight thru from Tucson Friday night to the start Saturday morning..We will be there tho...we have a great starting position and after all the Can Am success last weekend, we need to step it up and show we can race with anybody...see you all in Vegas
