2015 UTV World Championship

(Lake Elsinore, CA) – The team traveled east to Laughlin Nevada, site of the inaugural UTV World Championship. This one day event was held by Best in the Desert and UTV Underground, and featured two tough courses, the usual long BITD Loop, and a short loop for the production classes. A record 68 cars entered into the production field across 3 motor sizes.

Unfortunately, the team ran into the more gremlins that plagued them in the previous race while racing the Production 1000 class. Starting in their various rows, Dan, Bryan, and Mike began to work their way through the field, picking off cars one by one, getting as high as 15th on corrected time. Unfortunately a few laps in, overwhelming dust lead to an on track incident ending Mike’s day, and mechanical issues forced Bryan to pull off. Still in the race, and well past half way, Dan’s car went into limp mode, causing him to only be able to use half throttle. Unfortunately, the car issues forced Dan to pull off the track, ending his day in 38th.

Team Results UTV World Championship Production 1000:
38th Overall - Dan Worley (DNF)
48th Overall - Bryan Carr (DNF)
Mike Lewis (DNF)

The team looks forward to the next race, a dual round weekend at Lake Elsinore’s Short Course Circuit, March 7th and 8th. Thank you to SDi, Carr One, Walker Evans Racing, Yoshimura, Dragonfire, GBC, DJ Safety, Method Racewheels, Industrial Sprockets and Gears, Patridge Motorsports, and Action Sports Canopies.
