Pro Armor Polaris RZR-XP900 *Cage by ZTFab*

Here is a cage that we just built for Alex Danze.

We took about a week and a half out of our R&D schedule to build him a one-off cage, roof, wing, and spare tire mount. The cage is all TIG welded, 4130 Cro-moly and I hand machined all the bungs for the rear bumper and spare tire mount.

Here are some pics of the start of the cage. The car is all finished and Alex took it out for the weekend. I will upload more photos later.

Wow Paul! That thing looks incredible... Glad to see you haven't forgot how to weld!

Wow, thanks for posting. love the rear section over the bed, I have been day dreaming about somthing like that and removing all rear bed plastic.. anyways , You do great work man.

Hey Paul is that a 80amp plasma you use on the plasma table? I have a plasma cam table and looking for what plasma to buy for it. I have been using a buddies 40 amp hypertherm and it does ok but I think I want more power. By the way that cage came out sweet. Its got the rear class 1 look. I like it.

Hey Shawn, yes, it's the Hypertherm Powermax 1250 80 amp unit with the machine torch. It's rated for up to 5/8" on the table and the cut quality is excellent, even on 11 ga material and aluminum. I currently use the 80 amp consumables but want to try the "fine cut" for more intricate work.

I have been using Hypertherm for more than a decade and will use no other plasma system. I have a PM 380, PM 1000, and use the PM 1250 at work on our 4x8 TM 2 CNC table.

Thanks Mike!!

Here are some pics of how it turned out.

The spare tire rack has nitrogen charged struts to lift it and is secured with a slam latch that allows it to close like a trunk to access the items that can be stored underneath it.

We coated everything in Solar Black powder coat and topped off the cage with a hand fabricated aluminum roof and wing with LED tail and dust lights.

I would like to stop by this week and take some pics of that bad machine. Maybe on Wednesday around 3:30 ish?

That should work.

We will be doing a photo shoot on Thursday for some new products.
