So I got around to completing the first part of my rookie R1 build. I got the clutch pedal mounted!

So I got the motor mounted and running. Thanks for your help Wyatt Earp! I just have some modifications to do on the frame and then I can take it out for a ride. Here are some update pics.

No problem! Get ready, that first drive in a R1 rhino is always an blast!

Well, after I got the R1 engine started I realized I wasn't going to have the time, or sufficient tools for that matter, to finish this project myself. :( So I ended up taking it to a local fabricator to finish up the metal work.:) Dustin at Meyer Chassis in Murrieta, Ca. has been working on my four seat Rhino. Here are some pics of the shifter, which turned out really nice. The mechanism moves very smoothly and creates lots of leverage for easy shifts.

Here are some pictures showing how he's widening the sides to allow for the Corbeau seats that are going in. I don't know how obvious it is, but he also repositioned the lower support for the middle top cage mount (hope that makes sense). I also really liked the new step. Tell me what you think. If you notice anything that is off, please feel free to let me know. Thanks.
