Hey guys....I'm new to the site and just wanted to ask a few questions i've been having hang-ups on.

I'm in the process of building a DSR1 class Rhino and would like to have clarification of rules. What exactly is the wheelbase allowed? Can i run a trailing arm setup? Those just off the top of my head....

I'm not doing the fab work....i'm trading graphics out for most of the stuff but want to know all the ins and outs before i start.

Thanks in advance for any and all advice!!

What series do you plan on racing?

Right now we're focusing on BITD but will hopefully get around to whatever we can fit in and make fit the schedule.
Yeah, we spent the last 6 months getting the car ready, i think we will mix it up a bit, since we have spare shocks we will do the worcs series and lucus off road series maybe a little AVE desert series also.

110" wheelbase and technically you could have a trailing arm like can am or polaris dsr1 is pretty much open but not many show 1-2 per race so not really a class.

I've heard that there are quite a few cars being built right now...so i'm hoping the class broadens.

Do ya'll have anyone or anywhere i could look to 100% verify a trailing arm setup? I really like that setup! But i have a rhino along with the motor...so i'm kind of limited to what i have to work with.

You can't mix control arm mounting points from model to model (for example - take front from a rhino & rear from a can am & or custom mounting points) . if based on a rhino - needs to have same control arm mounting points but frame can be stretched (I thought 105 in. max) if based on xp 900 the control arm mounting points have to be the same. shock position mounting anyway you want. I agree check with Cory 1st.
2012 mint (1st yr for dsr1) there were 3 of us - 2 for v2r
2013 mint there were 7 ( I think 2 raced sportsman) (we didn't race)
I hope BITD gives this class 4-5 yrs to get started. Rich
