Is there as much of an advantage to starting earlier on in this race? is the dust and stuff as bad or do the rock sections kind of keep it down or the cars more separated?

How about road blocks from broken down or stuck machines? is that a concern in this race?

I have no experience with Johnson Valley or the area, is there a lot of run your own line type sections or do they keep the course pretty bottle necked in the rock climbing sections?

Later on the climb sections get really backed up and there are huge lines of racers waiting. When racers get stuck, break, or have to winch it sometimes forces other racers to take a harder line to get around.

It looks like the EMC guys get till 6pm to finish and the UTV's only get till 4pm. What gives?
