Ouch!!! That was about a 40mph impact. That hurt! I noticed no 4/5 point harness though. Looked like he thumped his head real good on the door frame... Bummer. They're both lucky nobody got hurt...

So heres the question, who pays?

Guy that stopped in the middle of a live track to look at birds?
Guy at ramming speed because its the following drivers responsibility to leave a safe following distance?
Neither, they're both idiots.

BTW, most SoCal MX practice tracks have flaggers placed on jumps with blind landings. Glen Helen is the exception, ride at your own risk says the sign on the way into the track.

Easy. They are responsible for their own repairs. They are on a closed race course. It's one of the risks you take when entering the track.

That being said the guy in front who stopped for no apparent reason is a dummy.

I read somewhere else the transmission locked up and broke both rear axles. The car had to be towed off.

Depends on the accident and the people involved. Many racers have paid for damage they inflicted on another car when they were at fault.
