Polaris Need help with whip lighting

I am in the process of installing lighted whips on the back of my rzr 4. I want to run the whips into a switch. Now please understand I have NOT done this so these may be basic questions. The instructions state to clamp the wires to the existing running lights. So with wanting to use a switch, I run the wires directly to the switch and then the switch wires directly to the battery? It seems this easy and I want to make sure it is before I cut plastic. Thanks for your help.

Run the switch from the + (pos, or center post) on the back of your Aux outlet on your dash. The - (neg) side you can just put to chassis ground. This also keys the lights with the ignition switch just in case you forget to turn off the lights.

The Aux outlet is a 15amp fuse; It will be plenty. If you need to use the Aux outlet, just flip the light switch off (if it's on) and you have the same thing you do now.
