Mint 400 entry list.

Saw the Mint 400 entry list. Looks like 65 UTV's across all 3 classes. I did not see any Arctic Cat's as it was rumored this race would be the release of a new RG designed Arctic Cat Wildcat.

The race is also past capacity already. The waiting list started monday.

Wow that would suck! I'm sure Arctic Cat will be on the hook with RG & Co. for the full 5 year contract, as RG is contract smart. They were on the TT at Parker too. I wonder if the manufacturing cost was going to be to much to build the new WildCat? There was allot of money spent to bring in Robby Gordon and Todd Romano, just to scrap the whole program, If this is the case?

My understanding was that the Arctic Cat deal was big and complicated as there were many contracts within this deal. One contract was with Stadium Super Trucks, and that they would race the Arctic Cats in that series. Then you have the Arctic Cat sponsorship on all of RG's race vehicles and the use of RG in their marketing campaigns. And lastly the deal with Robby & Todd as they formed Speed RMG Partners for this joint venture with Arctic Cat to R&D future UTV's for Arctic Cat.

What would RG & BITD have to do with Arctic Cat? RG & Casey have never been the best of friends. You guys probably dont know about the 1 year ban Casey gave RG for chasing on the course many, many years ago. RG was helping another team (Chet Huffman?) and got in the prerunner to go across the desert to help them. Yeah Casey did not like that one! Then you had the whole BITD accusation, claiming RG was using a Helicopter for communication a couple of years ago and DQ'ed his win, yet no one could prove it or recorded it for proof. It was not even a racer making the claim either.

Also looking at the SST schedule it looks like the SST trucks are in St. Petersburg Fl with the IRL series the same weekend as the Mint. This would be why RG is not signed up.

Clearly BITD needs more help....No lap times, The results are still Un-Official, and the Mint draw was supposed to be today.

Certainly hope the RUMOR of AC and Robby are wrong! Either way the wait for the NEW cat is to be worth it.
