Marc was bummed that he DNF'd the 1000 while he babied the car more than ever before (as per my request). We were the 3rd car through early at RM 78 and started 18 off the line. That's Marcs idea of "Driving miss Daisy" as he called it. Never again will he baby the Monster Mav. The car is way heavy, and we're out of time for 2013. Maybe we'll go on a diet and call it "Miss Daisy" next year. I'll just shut up and let the results say what they will. I thank you all for the publicity that you've offered! Enjoy the holidays with your families and slow down for a month or two!

Reid thanks for letting us borrow your box of grinders at 498, I dont think we actually used them because another team mate had already borrowed one somewhere else. Either way I appreciate it!! We will see you in Baja again next year!

Not a problem. I thought it was kind of fun just showing up with what you needed in the wee hours. The look on your face was priceless, "Hey, I know you!". It was classic! A beer in one hand, and a tool in the other (me, not you!). I'm alwys hoping the best for all of ouir class, and wouldn't hesitate to offer whatever I had to help get a broken car going again. You guys were hustling for sure! I'm glad that you guys got going and salvaged a 5th place finish. After replacing the exploded clutch at RM385 or so, Marc finally made it back to the checkpoint where I saw you with 3 minutes to spare before closing time. He blew a motor in the baby silt beds 15 miles later. We're working on putting Fatass Mav on a diet, since I'm feeling that the weight is a bit much for a CVT based drive system. We'll see you next timke for sure.
