DragonFire Looking Forward To Torture Test!
Lacrecia Beurrier Ready To Beat The Vegas To Reno Odds

Chandler, AZ – August 11, 2015 – Vegas to Reno is the longest point-to-point off-road race in the country and the unforgiving northern Nevada terrain is a true torture test. Out of 300+ vehicles that started the race in 2014, only 70 managed to finish this race, proving the house usually wins in Nevada. DragonFire/AZ West/Rockstar Racing's leading lady Lacrecia Beurrier knows this all too well, but she has a score to settle when the Best In The Desert's challenging 545-mile race takes place August 13-15, 2015.

Lacrecia is no stranger to beating long odds or the challenging northern Nevada terrain, having won the infamous Mint 400 three times. However she has some unfinished business at V2R 2015! “Last year was an incredible roller coaster,” says long-time DragonFire racer. "We went from literally winning the lottery by drawing the #1 starting position to crapping out before we could reach the casinos in Reno when the car conked out at race mile 365.” Hoping that the “365” was an omen, the Rockstar Racing/DragonFire Team is hoping that 365 days will make a world of difference.

This year Lacrecia and her team are coming back with a brand new race car, a streak of wins and the points lead in the Pro Unlimited UTV class. Although she admits it’s nerve wracking coming back after last year, there is no place she would rather be. “Hours of testing and preparation have all come down to this, we are as ready as we will ever be,” she says.

“Although we nearly won the lottery again by drawing the #2 starting position, monsoonal rains have made the 2015 V2R even more daunting… as if that was possible,” says co-driver and DragonFire Social Media manager Chris Moore. “Drawing a good starting position is critical to doing well in a point-to-point race like V2R. Like the Baja 1000, this race is known for the fact that you can outrun your chase crew. This makes pit strategy and reliability vitally important. Fortunately our crew chief Eric Buerrier has dialed in the Polaris RZR XP 1000 and mapped out the smallest details.”

The tough terrain and extreme distance makes this a true 24-hour event. “As one of the only races so long it starts in the dark and ends in the dark for most UTVs, lighting becomes a critical factor,” explains Lacrecia. "We are banking on our Bulldog LED Lighting to blaze a trail!" Lacrecia would also like to thank all her sponsors, including AO Coolers, Axxis Rod Ends, AZ West, Bell, BS Sand, Bulldog LED Lights, CP-Carillo, Dalton Industries, DragonFire, Factory UTV, Gates, ITP, Lonestar Racing, Monster Seal, Mothers Polish, Muzzy’s, Polaris Industries, Queen Racing, RadFlo Suspension Technology, Raceline Wheels, Rockstar Customs, Royal Purple, Rugged Radios, Tred 4x4 and Wicked Bilt. ABOUT LACRECIA BEURRIER:
With three Mint 400 wins under her belt, Lacrecia Beurrier knows a thing or two about battling long odds. However she races for a greater cause — she is out to honor the survival, determination and compassion of those fighting breast cancer. The pink ribbon for breast cancer awareness is not something Lacrecia just slapped on the car during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. “Racing For The Cure is where it all started for me,” she says. “My first race in my old Rhino was a charity event to raise money for the program.” Lacrecia quickly went from charity events and powderpuff racing to the real deal, competing in what is billed as America’s toughest off-road race, The Mint 400! Not only did she finish the race, she won the Sportsman UTV class first time out and then came back to successfully defend her title. This year she stepped up to the Pro Unlimited Class… and promptly won The Mint 400 again! She is proud to have put her hot pink Polaris XP 1000 on the top of the podium for all three of her Mint 400 wins. She is a true champion, on and off track — when she is not ripping it up on the race course, Lacrecia’s “real” job is as a registered nurse in Lake Havasu. DragonFire and AZ West are honored to have teamed up with Lacrecia’s Rockstar Custom Motorsports effort this season. Visit Facebook.com/Rockstar-Racing for details on Lacrecia Beurrier’s program.
