04/10/14 El Cajon, CA –Black Rhino/RacerX sponsored driver Bryan “West Coast Kid†Osborn is headed to Ohio with his team, Joe Sylvester Motorsports (JSM) after a great weekend of racing in Primm, NV at the season opener of the TORC series this past weekend.

Osborn arrived in Primm on Tuesday evening meeting up with his team. Early the next morning the team was meeting up for breakfast to discuss their strategy for the weekend. Next up was their first practice.

Wednesday Practice: During practice Osborn said the #54 Black Rhino/RacerX Motorsports Prolite felt a little “sputtery†so he took it over to Bill from ProPower and after hooking a few things up, twisting a few screws and bolts Osborn was back out on the track. The truck was good as new and Osborn “felt pretty fast for only being in the truck a few times beforeâ€.

“Day one was a major success; we got the truck working great. I felt very fast out there and very in control. The guys at ProPower are awesome to work with. All of TORC’s staff is awesome and the entire JSM team is great, I couldn’t be happier; this is going to be a great season.†Osborn said.

Thursday: After another team meeting/breakfast, the team headed off to set up the pit and prepare for the race weekend. What was thought to be an evening of relaxing for Osborn turned out to be an into the early morning hours of prepping the truck. Osborn was indecisive about how he wanted the setup to be until he consulted with Troy Patterson. After his mechanic called it a night Osborn continued working on his truck into the early morning hours making the recommended changes.

Friday Practice: Osborn took the #54 out and it ran and handled great. All that was needed was a few adjustments in the suspension for some more bite in the corners to make up for lack of new tires.

Saturday, Round 1: Osborn and the #54 went out starting 14th in the lineup. After working his way into the top ten another driver spun out in turn one and Osborn had to lock up the brakes on the landing of the step up to avoid ruining the truck. He stalled but was able to get it refired and drive back to mid pack before the competition yellow came out. In the end Osborn pulled off a 12th place finish.

Sunday Round 2: There was a lot more carnage on the track Sunday but Osborn finished 13th in Sunday’s Round 2. The #54 was having some minor carburetor problems but Osborn will defer to ProPower for a solution before next race.

Bryan Osborn summed up his weekend, “Not the best results I've gotten but I'm happy with getting to learn how the Prolite field drives and how the TORC team and series works. All of the people who work for and are part of TORC are awesome. My new team is a great fit for me and my program; I can't wait for the next race. Thank you to all of my sponsors, to everyone who is a part of this new path I am on and to all of those who have helped me. I could not do it without you all! Now we just need to fix everything and I look forward to being out in Charlotte for rounds 3 and 4 of the TORC Seriesâ€

“Bryan drove his heart out this weekend. He gave it 100% for his sponsors and fans and put on one hell of a show. It was great to see a pack of kids come into the pits looking for Bryan to get his autograph. His mom and I are so proud of him. It was hard to say goodbye as he headed off to Ohio but we can’t wait to see what the future holds for him.†Dad, Kenny Osborn, said.
