John Frana (TORC Pro Buggy Driver) and myself ventured to Lynnville, Indiana last weekend to map out a route for a truck and buggy endurance race event at the Interlake Property. We came up with a very good 4.5 mile loop that covers some very awesome terrain! Mid America Off-Road Association (MAORA http://maoraracing.us/) will be the event host, and the event will be ran as a 3 hour endurance race scored by number of laps ran during the three hour time limit. They don't have any particular set rules for SxS/UTVs so it would be something you guys could discuss on the MAORA forum or we could adopt another organizations rules for the event. Right now there is no set date but we are thinking November, just judging the interest at the moment to make sure its worth following through with, we hate to go through all the trouble and have 5 guys show up to race (it really happened). Aside from UTVs, we have truck and buggy classes, and on top of that if guys had something that we don't have a class for that people wanted to race, as long as there 3+ of whatever, we will add the class. We're trying to get as much interest as possible and we have always liked having the UTVs run with us so bring the whole forum!! If you're interested in this event, please speak up, because if we don't get enough people saying they are interested, we may not follow through with the planning. We ran the course with a Subaru and a Jeep that ran all but 2 sections in 2wd with an open diff, and those 2 sections will be taken care of a night or two before the event since all of our racers run 2wd trucks and buggies.
