Driver of the Year Brian Deegan to Donate All Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series Winnings to Charity in 2011
March 16, 2011 Phoenix, AZ -- Action sports icon Brian Deegan announced this month The Brian Deegan Charity Challenge to support his fans favorite charitable organizations throughout the 2011 Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series.
For all races in the series Deegan will donate his prize winnings to a charity of his fans choice. The 2011 Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series launches on Saturday, March 19, 2011 and will run through December 11, 2011.
The beneficiary of Deegans winnings from the March 19th-20th Pro 2 Class race will be the Loma Linda University Childrens Hospital. In addition, Deegan is challenging his fans to match his donation by texting KIDS to 27722 to donate $10 until Saturday, March 26.
Fans can suggest the next charitable organization to receive Deegans Off-Road Racing Series prize winnings by posting their suggestions on the Brian Deegan Twitter page (@MMGeneral) and the Metal Mulisha Facebook page (Metal Mulisha | Facebook) and naming an organization.
My fans are the greatest and I know theyre going to step up throughout the series by donating. I race to win, and we have the power to make a big difference here and now is the time, said Deegan.
Deegan will speak about his charitable initiative at Saturdays Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Opening Ceremonies.
For fans that choose to participate by texting a donation a one-time contribution of $10 will be added to the mobile phone bill/deducted from a prepaid balance. All contributions will be directed to the Childrens Hospital from the mobile providers. Participants will also receive up to one message per day from mGive Nonprofit Partner Alerts.
