“BRYAN OSBORN'S RACE REPORT FROM THE TORC SERIES CHARLOTTE, NC"
05/02/14 El Cajon, CA – Black Rhino/RacerX sponsored driver Bryan “West Coast Kid†Osborn enjoyed a weekend of firsts in Charlotte, NC for the Husqvarna Showdown at the Dirt Track; first time in North Carolina, first time on the East Coast and first Charlotte race.

It began with practice on Friday where things went very well for Osborn driving the Black Rhino/RacerX #54. Osborn then missed qualifying due to a fuel delivery issue. With the help of Pro Power Racing, they were able to get the #54 ProLite’s carburetor tore down and repaired before the race later on Friday. The #54 started at the back of the pack for Round 3 but was able to pull off a 9th place finish out of a field of 22 trucks.

The crew spent half the night working on the Black Rhino/RacerX #54 ProLite and troubleshooting a fuel problem. They were able to determine that the fuel pickup was located in the wrong spot in the fuel cell.

Then on Saturday morning it was noticed that the rear end housing was bent and they could not get the hubs back on the axle. There wasn’t enough time to change the rear tires and Osborn was about to call the race when they made the decision to borrow a set from another racer.
As the green flag waved and Round 4 was underway, Osborn was driving the #54 into the fastest lines and running great when all of the sudden on lap 11 the driver’s side wheel shattered taking him out of the race. “I don’t believe I would have had the wheel failure if I had my Raceline Wheels on.†Osborn proclaimed.
“Rounds 3 and 4 of the TORC Series overall were a great weekend. I was able to work with a good friend of mine again from my SuperLite days and have some friends drive up from the Marine Base that I had not seen in over a year due to being on deployment. I can’t thank them enough for helping me out and for their military service!†Osborn said.
A few problems but some great racing at TORC: The Off Road Championship Series which moved Osborn up in the points standings. Great job 'West Coast Kid'!
