Hey everyone, been a long time lurker and thought I'd finally sign up and post up my build. I've currently had my T2 for a couple years and must say it is a very capable and reliable machine.

Here it is bringing it home. Doesn't even look like the same machine now :). ImageUploadedByTapatalk1443708784.913863.jpg

I'll be adding a bunch of pics throughout the week. Thanks for looking!

Thanks,
Marc

Ended up going with a duner tunes stereo setup with fosgate amp and kenwood speakers. Sounds good and loud enough to hear with helmets on. No bass but crystal clear sound

The ride killed me so I ended up buying an hcr lt kit. I bet I had the rear end 4 feet off the ground numerous times bucking at hmt. It was a totally different machine and opened up new doors in what I wanted to do with a sxs

No one makes a arm guards so I made my own out of uhmw using a circular saw, oven and a little love. If you do this cycle the suspension and turn wheels to ensure clearance.

Used wood bits for mounting holes. Have pics of holes on teryx site but looks just like what comes on futv skids. Two different bits for hole and recessed spot for cup.

More mods pics coming

Ended up having serious issues with the stock BHs and these dwt beadlocks so I went with black waters on itp hurricanes. Can also see in this pic that I made some inner fender protectors out of an old street sign. I have $5 in those and that was for stainless hardware.

I also ended up speaking to the Oetiker regional rep. He actually was in the area and stopped by my house and I spoke with him about a good set of clamps for this. I replaced the NAPA clamps I was using for Oetiker...they are much nicer. If you go to the Teryx forum I posted up the Oetiker part #s so you can order.

Thanks Matt for helping me out! You went way beyond what I was expecting from Oetiker.

What kind of issues did you have with the bighorns and Diablo beadlocks.

They were dwt sectors. I keep having pinch issues on the tires and the beadlocks leaked. The sidewalls on the bhs that come on the teryx flex like crazy and are way underrated for the weight of the machine. I could reset the beadlocks and they wouldn't leak (dunked tire) till I went on an aggressive ride. The leak was inconsistent and would bubble here then there around the lock. It was extremely frustrating and in two different trips I bet I aired the fronts up 20 times a trip waisting time.

So I couldn't pinpoint if the tire was causing the Beadlock to leak due to the sidewall flex and man they would flex. I didn't want to buy better 12" tires and have the same issue cause I wanted 14s for better tire choices. It was a gamble but I don't have that issue anymore.

I honestly believe the BHs had better traction on rock and hard pack

The 28" black waters killed the performance of the machine. I ended up getting a vfj stage 3 primary with weights, PVC with autotune, and full muz us. That really woke the machine up.

After riding at night at windrock, I became more intune about how horrible the stock lights are. I ended up buying a 30" totron light.

Well, I was in a tough decision. I was beyond running out of motor doing hill shoots. Was debating about selling the teryx and buying a Maverick non-turbo XDS and doing a HALO locker. But, in the end the bed of the teryx and all the storage space was too useful to get rid off.

So, over the winter I'll be doing the following:
- SBK and headwork by Benchmark
- PRP seats
- Custom cage and doors

Really looking forward to completing that work, then next fall I'm buying a Maverick and giving the teryx to the wife. I'll start tearing the motor down in December and updating my build thread.

Again, thanks for looking! And thanks Rusty for all the info!

Hey everyone, I haven't been able to do much yet on my teryx build. Just bought a whole house generator and putting a new roof on come spring.

I will first off state this machine has been extremely solid and I've only had to replace a ball joint at 1100 miles. My only grip is with Kawi not selling cv replacements or inner tie rod ends. You have to buy the whole axle and rack to get those parts. I ended up buying a complete used set of stock cvs (haven't used any yet) and found a replacement inner tie rod from napa, but had to cut the lt tie rod extension down a bit.

Moving forward I still want to do motor mods, just not in the time frame I wanted. This hcr kit is awesome by the way. I have around 400 miles on it and it was my best purchase.
