#1958 Race Car Issues

Shocks - I think I alone of the only race cars running Elka on a Polaris. I spent way too much money on them to just switch and it has been the most difficult thing to dial them in because we don't know anyone running them and I don't speak French.

I don't know how much racers help each other from this forum..but Lecrecia was racing 2.5" stage 5 Elkas at the Mint this year if memory serves. Not sure how the 2014 Wildcat X geometry compares but here: http://www.wildcatforums.net/forum/wildcat-x/7392-diy-elka-stage-5-adjustment.html
Thanks for sharing from the Joe Schmoes who cheer you guys on (you'll never know how bad we wanted one of you to earn a win this year...especially).

...evidently Hancock and Sappington were also running Elkas at one time as well:
"..The Stage 5 technology has been race-proven for years in the ATV world and it is now being further developed and tuned specifically for UTV with the help of pro drivers such as former ATV legend and long-time collaborator William Yokley and his teammate and nephew John Yokley (Polaris/Coastal/CST/Yokley Racing) in the GNCC Series, Can-Am Factory driver Matt Hancock in the WORCS and Best In The Desert Series and Desert Toyz's Cory Sappington in the BITD Series..."

On the steering wheel bolts, on my steering wheel, I'm sure cheap China crap, the bolts that hold the steering wheel on had a lot of slop. I tapped them out to the next size, and everything is nice and tight now. Plus, the original bolts looked to be a real low grade steel. And the bolts that I replaced them with are grade 8.
