Yeah Hyper is one of the strongest to weight ratio wheels on the market if you can afford them. There is a whole lot more to it than width, just as important offset can change the width positions in front and/or rear for stability for Glamis and drag racing or maneuvering through tight treed dunes like OR, or short tracks. 4/4, first # inside width to mounting flange, second outside, you could run 3/5 or 2/6 on a Hyper in back it’s strong enough, but a blue or red label DWT (Douglas Wheel) I’d question in racing applications @ .190 thick aluminum, but might be fine since they are roll forged and strong too. The offset can also add or remove bump steer, change the steering inclination, add or remove load from suspension components, but will not affect shock valves.
You might want to do some research and think about what it is you want out of your ride then call Dave @ Fullerton Sand Sports, 714-484-5996 goggle web site. He sent my play cut blasters and buffs to Seattle when I lived there although I’d prefer some bite like a Mohawk up front for up there, but my rims and offsets did fine. He’s in So Cal and one of the most knowledgeable in the world on tire and wheels combo’s, tell him TNT sent ya. Sometimes he’s hard to get a hold of keep trying.
Hope that helps and good luck!
