What's your thoughts on the mini utvs

Hey guys I'm tossing around the idea of buying my son a mini pitster utv. He is 7 years old and my daughter is 3 my idea is by the time my son is done my daughter will be old enough to drive it. My biggest thing is like everything I would want to modify it, my end goal would be to make the machine race worthy even though there are no races in Utah I would like to get my son to really rally the machine. I'm looking for any info on modding these little bikes. Or your thoughts on the bikes themselves. Good or bad thanks guys

No but everything I have heard is the pitster 150cc is better than the rzr 170

Might be cheaper and easier to get parts for the RZR.

Ya that was my thoughts as well. The pitster says its something like 90% compatible with the rzr but it makes me wonder about the other 10%

with the prices of used rzr 800's i have thought of buying one for my 11 year old and putting seats and a roll cage on one for her. I seen a pink one in Glamis last Turkey day that had a smaller cage and pre teen size seats.

the rzr 170 is under powered and 2wd.

And 4500 bucks or more....used 800 can find 6500 to 7000

Ya I would rather buy a real rzr but my son is way to small to drive a 800 aggressively. And I would look for a used mini first they sell for around 2500-3000 around here
