Polaris What are they for (front removable trim)

So whats the removable front fascia pieces (under the headlights) on the XP for? Looks cleaner with those things gone but do they serve a purpose?

Believe it or not, they are there for aero purposes. It deflects air around the fender flares that otherwise (at sustained high speeds) can get caught by the fender flares and slow air flow, or at worst create no air flow. Soooo...my recommendation would be to keep them on.

Ya I heard it was something like that...I plan to remove the front flares all together...If I understand you correctly, at that point I can ditch those as well?

removed mine as soon as i got it in 2011.have had zero issues with heat.have around 2000 miles on it now.
