7/23/12 El Cajon, CA – What a weekend for Black Rhino Drivers! Glen Helen’s new track layout put a nice scene change for spectators and a new challenge for the Black Rhino drivers.
Black Rhino had two of our Prolite drivers out at Glen Helen Friday for Practice. We are always excited to have Rick Doetsch #3 and Ryan Beat #51 on the track. This was Rick’s first time at practice at the Glen Helen Short course track. Ryan was only catching some seat time preparing himself for the Lucas Oil Off Road night race at Glen Helen August 4th and 5th.

What a ride for Bryan with a 2nd place podium finish. Being the longest sponsored driver of the SR1 we are always proud to see him finish on the podium. Bryan held his place on the track for the main event after blowing out his left rear shock.

Brandon’s first time ever on the podium in the #842 with a 3rd place. This driver has had a rough start this season but there is no better way to pick up his moral with a podium. Congratulations! What an awesome job.

The luck was not on Gary’s side this weekend in the #802 Thompson Roofing SR1. Blowing a shock in Practice Friday night and losing a motor in the Heat race on Saturday made keeping his 2nd place championship points impossible.
